Here is the italian suggestion to a best double stroller. The Peg Perego Duette Piroet Atmosphereo Double Stroller is a great double stroller for twins, but it can also be turned into a travel system and to suit different age siblings. It is stylish, lightweight and with great maneuverability. There is almost nothing to fault the italian competitor for a best double stroller and it is well worth the investment.

Let me get into details in this Peg Perego Duette Piroet Atmosphereo Double Stroller review and share why I love it so much and what I would have improved about this stroller.

First of all, I need to start with the fact that this is one of the most stylish and good looking inline double strollers available. Well, I guess when you say “Italian” and you already think of luxury and comfort and that is what the Peg Perego Duette twin stroller brings.

Being an inline double stroller it is only 22.25 inches wide, so fitting it through any door is no issue. The frame is made of lightweight aluminium, but despite that the twin stroller weighs 42 lbs, which is way over some competitor brands offer. However, do not let this numbers scare you, as you will be still able to lift it in order to put it in your car trunk and you can’t even feel the weight of the stroller while pushing it, as it is very maneuverable.

As I have mentioned the car trunk, I also need to say that this twin stroller wouldn’t fit into the smallest trunks. It is a bit bulky when folded, especially when folded with the seats still on.

In my case, I have an SUV and it fits perfectly at the back and I actually love the fact that it can be folded without needing to take the seats off. The folding itself is easy two-step process - you just need to fold the seats forwards and then pull a little trigger at the frame to fold the Peg Perego Duette Double Stroller. Just in case, here I have the folded dimensions: 4.5" L x 22.25" W x 15.75" H.

Apart from being a little bit heavy and somewhat chunky when folded I do not have any major complaints about the Peg Perego Duette Double Stroller and I love the way it strolls.

The maneuverability of the Peg Perego Duette Double Stroller is ensured by the four large polyurethane wheels, each one of them equipped with a suspension to absorb the bumps on the road and provide greater comfort to your babies. The front pair are lockable swivel wheels and the rear ones are stopped by a rear foot brake. The brake is very easy to hit and release and as I like to say it is flip-flop friendly.

Of course, the most important thing are the seats and believe me the ones that the Peg Perego Duette Double Stroller comes equipped with are padded and comfortable.

They are nicely padded and the fabric is of extremely high quality, easy to wipe clean. Each seats can take up to a 45 lbs of weight and they are quite roomy and not shallow. Both seats have three positions of reclining from fully upright to fully flat and all you need to do is to unzip some of the fabric in order to recline the seat. I can’t even tell you how happy I am when I do not have to deal with straps and buckles when getting the babies to nap in the stroller.

Each seat is also equipped with a 5-point harness with shoulder pads and the foot rest of each seat has two positions to be adjusted at. The canopies are massive and come with a mesh insert for extra ventilation and a built-in loop for toys. This is a nice touch, especially helpful for babies who are not keen on sleeping in the double stroller. What I would have added is a peek-a-boo window on the canopies, but that is not a dealbreaker to me, as where I live is warm and I usually can see the babies through the ventilation mesh. What makes it up for that is also the individual swing-away and detachable bumper bars that both seats come with.

Both seats are reversible and you you can place them parent-facing, world-facing or facing each other - this in my opinion is what makes the Peg Perego Duette the best strollers for twins. If your needs are different and you need to turn your Peg Perego Duette Double Stroller into a travel system then you are offered with the options to attach one or two car seats or one or two carrycots.

The Peg Perego Duette Double stroller directly accepts two Peg Perego Primo Viaggio infant car seats, but if you are to attach two carrycots, you will need an adapter that is sold separately as well as the carrycots themselves.

Under the seats you will find a truly big storage bin and I really mean big. It is very easily accessible too, apart from the case where you have the back seats facing you. In this case if you need to reach the storage bin from the back you will have to lift up the kids footrest. Again, not a big deal, but it's good to have it in mind.

One more thing that I would have preferred to have is an adjustable handlebar. The Peg Perego Duette Double Stroller has a nicely padded handlebar that allows you to stroll even with one hand, but it is not adjustable. I am 5.8 inch tall and it feels just right for my height and I guess if you are not particularly short or tall, you will find the handlebar comfortable.

Overall, the Peg Perego Duette Double Stroller has its pros and cons, but what is certain is that it is one of the best strollers for twins and actually one of the best double stroller if you are looking for a stylish and high quality double stroller that is easy to maneuver and fits through any door size. The seats positions are great and kids feel comfortable and are actually having fun when they are facing each other.
